Last Saturday, it actually RAINED. Chris, Kate, and I were so excited to see drops of honest-to-goodness water falling from the sky. In the morning (before our glorious rain shower), Kate and I went to the park where we swung and slid on everything. There were many pee-wee soccer games going on with families cheering from the sidelines and others BBQ-ing. While on the swings, Kate and I watched a game and I explained what was going on. A little kid scored a goal, and Kate burst into applause, "Good job!"
After her nap, Kate got dressed in her best puddle jumping outfit.
"Mom, these are line puddles, where are the ROUND ones??"
"Where are the BIG ones?" Unfortunately, rain puddles don't last very long in the desert...
This one was better...
But then we found the biggest one of all....
In LA, we don't have big rain puddles, we have swimming pools.
The water was chilly...
Finally, a puddle worthy of jumping in.
That night, multi-tasking Kate tried to ride her tricycle and draw at the same time.
