Our weekend of exercise continued on Sunday at the Pasadena Ice Skating Center. Lucy and her Moms were meeting us there, and Fairy Kate and Mr. Hockey Chris were on the lookout.
Lucy and Kate really liked walking around in their skates.
Kate was nervous in the beginning, but quickly got the hang of it.
Appa told her to "walk, walk, walk, and glide," making it a lot more fun for Kate as we pulled her around the rink.

As the blood-sugar began to crash, so did the fun-factor for Kate. It was time to head out and grab a late lunch.
Kate and Lucy both did a wonderful job their first time skating. Hooray!
After lunch, we bumped into Uncle Mike on the way to the car. Kate couldn't have been more excited than if she had bumped into Prince Charming himself on the street. We made plans to see each other, and went home.
The following day entailed no exercise whatsoever (from Mom, anyway). Kate and I had a playdate at Maya's house, Kate's best buddy from A Child's Garden. It was sweet how happy they were to see each other.
