Gobble Gobble 2009!

At school, Kate worked hard to make Thanksgiving drawings, decorations, and even a personalized placemat for the big day. Kate likes a little salmonella with her spicy, salty turkey. This year, we were having Lucy and her Moms over for Thanksgiving dinner, and in preparation, Kate and Appa made two pies -- apple and pecan. Uncle Glenn sent this fun apple-corer to Chris years ago, and we put it to good use.

Voila! Chris' delicious apple pie. He called it "Franken-pie" because the top crust completely fell apart and had to be "stitched" back together. Kate found that very funny.

Speaking of Frankenstein:

Chris' beautiful pecan pie glowing in the amber autumn light. This one was also incredibly tasty. Kate and I are oh, so pleased to have an excellent baker in residence. Hooray for Appa!

Kate created fancy napkin holders for everyone. Mom pilfered the turkey shapes from Kate's school and was narced on by one of her friends. Oh, that Zoe. Always the cop.

In honor of Thanksgiving, Kate and Lucy sat on this big piece of paper and traced their cute tushies. Then Kate filled them in with drawings.

Meanwhile, lovely Lily watched the Manchester United soccer game on TV. Out of loyalty to her Samcheon, she was rooting for the other team to destroy Man U.

The Thankgiving dinner turned out extremely well thanks to Amy's side dishes, Chris' pies, and Lisa Sook-mo's cranberry sauce.

After dinner, the girls gave us a very loud concert.

It was a rowdy, hectic, joyful Thanksgiving. Thank goodness for great friends. Happy
