On Saturday morning, we headed to Kate's preschool to meet Santa Claus! Kate had been admiring Santa in the mall from afar, but never had the courage to go near him. Actually, she was still a little afraid. "Mom, I don't want to sit on him, I just want to stand next to him, OK?" I said if she sat on his lap and told him what she wanted for Christmas, he'd probably give her a toy from the sack beside him. She quickly changed her mind.
Kate's smile is a combination of joy and complete terror. I don't blame her.
After a chatting with Santa for a few minutes and telling him she wanted a "pink polka dot phone" for Christmas, Santa gave her a little toy -- a pink pencil and ruler desk set. Thanks, Santa!
